Download was fucking incredible. The first two days were just getting drunk and meeting our camping neighbors, then
Friday bands:
Architects - I caught the last bit of their set which was actually really good, not my usual type of thing but they’re quite good live.
Asking Alexandria - Caught a snippet, they’re still crap.
Papa Roach - Fucking awesome.
Korn - I don’t really know what to say other than they were exactly how I expected them to be; Good aha.
Three doors down - Caught the last few songs when I saw an obvious spot near the front waiting for gogol bordello to come on..Here without you is always fun to sing along to.
Gogol bordello - Insaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaane. We were front row and they are the most crazy energetic band, they literally don’t stop for a second and I shall definitely be seeing them on their december tour.
Slipknot - Of course they were amazing.
Saturday;
Escape the fate - So dissapointed. Seriously. They should just make a new band under a different name.
Mastadon - Musically they’re good but kinda boring to watch.
Alice in chains - Oh my god, the reason we went to download and so fucking worth it. We were quite close and they were just amazing, best live band I’ve ever seen. I SAW JERRY. And of course William Duvall is no Layne but seriously that man is so talented.
Queens of stone age - I was so devasted walking to the main stage because I could hear Jimmy eat world and they sounded soooo good but I couldn’t miss QOSA and of course they were beyond amazing BUT WHY THE CLASH DOWNLOAD I AM SERIOUSLY UNHAPPY ABOUT THIS.
Sunday;
(We were all far too hungover/tired to do much on sunday aha)
Parkway Drive - Yeeeah, they were cool.
Stone sour - Decccccent.
A day to remember - I fucking love a day to remember. I wish my best friend was there to boogie with me but still I really really love them.
Limp Bizkit - My younger self was so happy. They were very good.
One of the best experiences of my life. Sooo glad I went.
